I received a copy of the Findings and Award for Bad Faith and/or Unfair Claim Processing Practices Letter from
you last week. Since my injury, my life has been greatly changed. I suffered losses, many of which I have shared
with you. It is very difficult to not feel like a victim of my situation and of the systems that are responsible
for my injury and subsequent changes. When I attempted to work within the framework of the benefits awarded to
me-to collect reimbursement for medications-I was ignored repeatedly. I greatly appreciate the effort you made on
my behalf. It is reassuring to know that you were willing to go to bat for me and enforce the benefits that
were awarded to me. That effort was empowering for me in that it helped me feel less a victim. Congratulations for

Dear Mr. Gravina:
I wanted to personally thank you for making my life a little bit more happier. When I received my letter from
the Judge I couldn’t believe it. I won! I didn’t think it would happen so quickly and so soon. While waiting
from the Judge my family is going through a difficult time. On August 23rd my dad went into cardiac arrest.
He was on a breathing machine for almost a week. That wasn’t the half. We also found out he has cancer in his
stomach and at that time only had 6 months. Up until I was taking care of him staying up til 5am making sure he
was okay. My dad in April weighed 287 pounds. Right now he’s about 150-160. The cancer is eating him alive.
About 2 weeks ago me and my husband moved out on our own. We’re only 10 minutes away in case of an emergency-which
I hope won’t happen. I wanted to say thank you but instead wrote you. Again, thank you for everything. Have a Happy
Thanksgiving. May God bless and keep you and your family safe!
P.S. My dad passed away 12/2-Sorry I misplaced this. Thanks for the x-mas card.

I was digging through my old Social Security file and found one of your surveys. I realized that I was
being extremely forgetful at filling one of these out. I am sorry—only one year late. I have been still
having extreme health problems as the Lupus slowly “eats” me. The doctor and I are still trying to get
in under control. But what I really want to do is thank you so much for your help with social security.
I know that without your talent, I would still be trying to get it. The amount I get is not much but it
does represent my ability to do fun things that does make a big difference in my joy in life. Being
